Gone Too Soon

I hate it when this happens. I always have the right feeling whether an ill person could still make it or not.

It happened again today.

Yesterday night, I received a news that one of my online friends is in a critical condition. She had difficulty of breathing. I just learned the same night that she's diabetic. For her age, I knew it was Juvenile Diabetes. She's just 14. We were all clueless how critical that 'critical' was. One of our friends decided to visit her in the hospital. She told us she was in the Pediatric ICU, comatose. We were all shocked. Being a nurse, I know the chances if she'll still make it but still, something inside me wants to hold on.

I can't sleep last night. I kept on seeing her face. Even though it was a short encounter, there's the feeling that I want to know her more, be her ate. It's just sad I cannot do that anymore. I tweeted her about how I cannot sleep, and that she's been in my mind. I told her to hold on and get well. I told her to remember I love her and how much we all love her. I still prayed for a miracle. I was afraid to fall asleep, I'm afraid that when I wake up, a sad news is what I'll be reading.

I think I was awake by 8 but I still don't want to get up. I decided to got up by 11. The PC's open, I checked Twitter, everyone's busy with Game 1 of NBA. I was relieved. No sad news. I checked Facebook, first thing I checked, Hannah's wall. Posted 8 minutes ago was a comment telling her to rest in peace. I don't know what to feel. I don't want to believe. I texted G to confirm it with Hannah's dad.

I tried diverting myself by watching the last few minutes of Game 1. I can't enjoy it. Until G replied, 'Totoo daw, nagreply na daddy ni Hannah.' (It's true, his dad replied.) That was it. All hopes gone.

I know you're in a better place now bunso. I remember that last time that we were together, I was amazed that you really looked like Charice. You'll always be remembered as the sweet little girl of the group, hindi marunong magalit, napaka-galang. You'll be missed. :') Ate Thel loves you. May you rest in peace.

Celebrating Friendship

I thought the hardest time to set up 'get-togethers' is during college, given that we're from different schools and we have different schedules as well. Apparently, I thought wrong, twas even harder now that we're out of college. But of course, we cannot miss out celebrating our first year of friendship. Exact date was May 9, but then again, that day's not free for most of us, so we rescheduled it. And after a long debate, we ended up with a short notice get together. How short? Like, a day before. Haha. So yeah, we decided to celebrate it May 14 instead.

Blow the Candle!

Potluck for the food and drinks. We had Jugno's Monster Pizza, which is really affordable for it's size. Also had Pancit Lucban from Buddy's, cake from Goldilocks, barbeque (idk where Lauren bought it but it's the group's favorite!). May seem a bit few, but trust me, it's too much for all of us.

We may all be graduates (and some professionals) already, but games are never really missed every gathering. This time, it's this kind of maze made of plastic cups with water. You need to get across the other side of the cups while you're blind-folded and being shouted upon, I mean instructed upon, by your team captain. Should be careful not to step on the cups and spill the water. If you do so, you need to start all over. :D Fun!

Ok. We lost that game. Haha. Twas full of shouting and got my voice a bit hoarse after. We just then had a little drink to Tanduay Ice and The Bar while having some chat. Oh men, talk about being serious! We are getting older. >.<

It's Been Quite Long

We finally got to see each other again after some time. I'm talking about the Pundaodaya siblings. Haha. :) They're my college friends whom I got to know more during the review days (for the board exams). They adopted me in their apartment because the review center is far from our place.

We went to our alma mater to get a copy of our transcript (original one coz we only have one for board exam purposes). Ate at McDo then went to Quiapo for 'DVD shopping'. Haha! We wanted to watch a movie in the nearest mall but no movie pleased us and if ever there was one we already bought a DVD of it. We just strolled around/window shopped.

A December Outing (Late Post)

This actually happened last December 12. It was an outing almost a month in the making, so there were quite a few issues that happened along the way but even though, it pushed through and we all had fun. :)

There were options at the beginning but we ended to be city-bound still (though there were out-of-town places in the choices).

Dinner at Bulalo Fiesta. We lied about Jerome celebrating his birthday that day so the stand-up comedians came over our 'kubo' to greet him. It was actually Big Mouth (a contestant in Pilipinas Got Talent) that came down to see him. Laugh trip as usual.


The boys with TM, Jhe and I didn't sleep at once when we got back to the resort, instead we drank a bit of the wine Kent brought. The next day, it was breakfast together then time to go home but then ended up strolling at SM Fairview before really heading home. :)

No Sleep

I attended my first Christmas party as an employee last Saturday. Shift ended at 10 AM that day then the party is at 6PM. As much as I wanted to get some sleep before prepping up for the party, my body clock failed me. So yeah, with NO sleep at all, I went back to our building where we decided to meet up so we (team mates and I) can go together in Amoranto.

People were already leaving by 12AM, so we also decided to go. We headed to ABS-CBN then McDonald's for the rest of the night, while waiting for MRT to open so we could head home. :)

Watched Harry Potter for the second time with my NBA friends. It's actually my treat since I've been missing some gatherings for the previous months because of my work schedule. And since we're the HP Generation, no movie is better to watch together but HP. :)

We're not complete though, since some of us are already working. After the long battle of where to eat, we decided to eat at Pizza Hut.
